The following list consists of 5 simple ideas for home exercise for weight loss. They are simple and most of the home exercise for weight loss does not require expensive in-home gym equipment.

Home Exercise for Weight Loss #1 – Walking

This aerobic exercise for weight loss is very simple to do and an expensive treadmill is not even necessary to own if you choose walking as your exercise routine. Some will tell you that if you take 10,000 steps a day this will keep you physically fit. Although walking is great to do and you can make it one of your home exercise for weight loss it is by no means a complete workout. You definitely need more exercise routines for weight loss at home if you want a comprehensive and complete plan.

Standing in place at home while watching television for 10 minutes making sure you bring your knees as high as possible will give you a sufficient warm-up in preparation for the next five home exercise for weight loss.

Home Exercise for Weight Loss #2 – Squats

I love squats and it’s a perfect weight loss exercise for women at home. Talk about making the glutes and legs stronger. Here is the most effective home exercise for weight loss of all time I believe.

Here’s how to do this exercise for weight loss at home. Your starting position is standing. Slowly bend over as if you’re about to sit into a chair.

You may even have a chair right behind you and touch it lightly with your glutes and come right back up. Make sure your heels are on the floor at all times since you’re going to push through your heels when you go back up to standing position. Repeat 15 times.

Home Exercise for Weight Loss #3 – Knee Lifts

Because of its name I think people mistakenly think that this is just a leg exercise but it does so much more. It’s a balance exercise and a glutes, hips flexors, and core exercise. For many of my clients it looks simple but when done properly they discover it’s really not that simple.

Here’s how this home exercise for weight loss is done.

Make sure that you’re standing straight up activating your core; pulling up from your abdominals and relaxing your arms. Pull one knee up as high as possible directing it to your chest. You probably will not be able to bring the knee to your chest but I want you to pull the knee as high as possible to the chest.

Repeat 15 times and change to the other knee.

Home Exercise for Weight Loss #4 – Plank

This is by far one of the best exercises for teaching stabilization using the core region and also includes upper body strength development. A plank using your forearms is usually difficult for a beginner and even going into a full push-up position off of your knees. So I usually start my Curvy Goddesses in a push-up position with knees on the ground.
You want to squeeze your buttocks together while holding this position for 20-30 seconds to start.

Repeat 7 times.

Home Exercise for Weight Loss #5 – Dancing

Who says dancing is NOT a workout? Has anyone ever heard of Zumba? Let me tell you. Curvy Goddesses are going cuckoo over Zumba Fitness and I don’t think the trend is going to stop very soon. You’ll have so much fun with this weight loss exercise for women that you’re not going to even think that it is exercise.

exercise at homeSome women ask me what is the best home exercise equipment for weight loss.

I always reply that the best home exercise equipment for weight loss it one that you will actually use! Most of us will purchase something very effective in theory but we don’t actually use it.

The best home exercise equipment for weight loss can be no equipment at all. It can be Zumba at home. Just pop-in a DVD and dance away! Dancing can literally be one of the best exercise routines for weight loss at home because you’re actually going to DO IT!

Home Exercise for Weight Loss #6 – Resistance Training

Who needs dumbbells when you have resistance bands? Resistance bands are so very versatile and you can get a complete workout. Using resistance bands is a legitimate way to get in your weight loss exercise for women at home!

You can increase the intensity with resistance for everything; from squats to lunges to biceps curls to triceps curls.

Exercise Kids Lose Weight Home

Our children are definitely influenced by their environment and so it’s wise to instill a healthy lifestyle through example.

Here’s more from Today.com about exercise kids lose weight home, a very important subject since children of today are our future tomorrow.

As parents, we spend a lot of time talking to our kids about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes and the need for safety on the Internet. But obesity is clearly one of the biggest concerns in the United States today and poses dangerous consequences to our children’s physical and emotional health.

Let’s reverse this epidemic by creating a healthy home environment and regularly talking with our kids — starting as young as two years of age — about the importance of eating the right foods and engaging in regular physical activity.

Weight Loss At Home

Weight loss is such a popular subject in our society. I can state with confidence that is it an obsession for most of us. But the excuses are endless for not accomplishing and eradicating this obsessive problem. Two of the major excuses that I hear are that there is no time and I can’t afford a gym membership.

Well let’s kill two birds (excuses) with one stone by focusing on weight loss at home.

There are endless weight loss exercises at home that you can do. At home weight loss is simple in that there is no need for expensive equipment but weight loss is definitely not easy to accomplish.

Exercise at Home

The Top 25 AWESOME exercises that you can do at home without any equipment but will give you an amazing workout or 2, 3, and much more is from the ACE organization.

exercise at home

Bodyweight exercises are NO JOKE!

Weight Loss Workouts at Home

Here is a complete program for those who think that body weight workouts are for sissies. This weight loss workouts at home program is definitely no joke. Sissies need not apply!

GymJunkies.com

Who is this for?

This is for anyone who wants to quickly lose body fat possible, but has no access to a gym or equipment.

So you have no equipment? Nothing to train with except your body and a will to train. I’m not even going to throw in dips, pull ups, or body rows since we’re going with a complete “no equipment” mentality. This means we will not be doing any upper body pulling movements which is far from ideal. However with maximum weight loss being the goal, a month without pulls is a calculated casualty.

Oh, and I don’t want to hear a single peep about there being no “ab” exercises. To lose weight you need maximum caloric expenditure and that weak-ass crunch isn’t going to cut it.

Weight Loss Exercise Routine

This exercise routine for weight loss gave results to women who did try it.

Intrigued by research spotlighting eccentric training as one of the most effective ways to get firm, we asked fitness expert Chris Freytag to create a superfast shape-up exercise routine using this unique technique. When we put a group of readers on the plan, the results were eye-popping: Testers had an average weight loss of 6 pounds and 10 inches in 14 days, with the most successful volunteers losing up to 12 pounds and more than 22 inches all over.

Losing weight is not difficult if anyone follow these exercises. As losing weight is more about self control, if you control your calorie intake and follow these exercises with discipline than you can easily able to reduce weight.

I think it’s all about balancing hormones. If you have to use self-control and will power then something is wrong. The body knows better than we think. Since we’ve been to exposed to processed and chemicals we have damaged our system. So caloric intake is NOT the answer.

I think it’s going back to eating whole foods, more meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, and fruit and shifting the mind from rigidity and discipline to a wondrous process of exploration and discovery.

    Hi Diane,
That is such a creative list of home workout ideas. I haven’t been in a gym in over a decade and I am in the best shape of my life. I am a landscaper and I get a great workout from doing that, plus because of the heat I sweat off a lot of extra pounds too.

I also went vegetarian this year which helped me to easily lose ten pounds.

I am all for the home fitness. The problem for me for a long time has been not having the energy to do it. I have been using a diet supplement called Phen375 for a while now and it has boost my energy and metabolism way up, and I have lost all the weight that I wanted to lose. The weight doesn’t just fall off immediately but you do see results. I stopped taking them right now because I don’t want to lose any more, but if I see myself gaining weight again then I will definitely be back on them.

Oooh, the plank, I love that one! There was this personal trainer at a gym nearby who wanted to beat the official women’s world record at doing the plank recently – did you ever know there was such a thing? Anyway, she went at it for like 40 minutes but missed the record by ten minutes more or something.

My basic exercises are squats, pushups, situps, lunges, good mornings, and mt climbers.

I also look for other bodyweight workouts online whenever I feel like switching it up. Actually thinking of buying kettlebells to add some variety and some resistance training. I have dumbels tho but don’t use em as much right now.

One can loose by keeping some basic thing in mind. One should not overeat, drink lots of water, eating the right foods at right time. One should try to walk smaller distance on foot, try to take staircase instead of lifts or escalator.

Apart from all this one should devote around an hour daily in exercise which would help in burning the extra fat. Doing exercise or hitting the gym is not an easy thing to do instead it requires a very great deal dedication and devotion for the weight loss.

If the person is not able to loss the weight after all such efforts then only one thing that can help that person is that he or she has to for the surgery for removing the access fat from the body.

Hi girls! Less than two years ago I had to see a dietitian because I was so underweight it was abnormal. I fought hard for my curves (and yes, I have them now) and I wouldn’t wanna lose them! I just didn’t feel womanly or sexy – more boyish and adolescent, lol. One thing I have had to deal with since I gained all my weight though is cellulite. Its definitely worth it; I would hate to be skinny again; but I do what I can to minimise cellulite. I have a good page on how to get rid of cellulite by using a combination of essential oils and massage. It does seem to help. Most of all though girls – lose weight only if you are unhealthily over weight, I adore my curves and firmly believe that it is how us women should be.

You know this is going to sound really funny (slash pathetic), but I actually lost some weight by having my hubby hide the remote control..! Initially it was to make myself “walk” to the TV to flip channels, but when I realized what a rotten pain that was, I stopped watching as much TV! Now I’m up and about more, just generally more active, which is doing great things for me!!

Home based workouts are excellent. I am a gym lover myself, but after joining a company a year or two ago that offered home based workouts I really started to get into them. I used to make fun of them, but they are actually very good. Sometimes life is just too busy to go to a gym. Even if it’s only 10 minutes away the 10 minutes there and back adds up to 20. That’s a big chunk that could be used for something else.

    Hi

You can also do the housecleaning and get a small workout at the same time, just strap on wrist weights and ankle weights I do it when I’m cleaning the house i.e. dusting, vacuum and take care of the laundry.

Besides that you can boost the weight loss by drinking green tea, just remember that the water should be only between 70 and 80 degrees celsius, otherwise you will lose the good things in teen and it will also make it taste bitter.
