Curvy Goddess Workout – Crystal Series #1: Intro, Part I and II [Video]

by Diane on September 14, 2009

Welcome to the very first NYC Personal Trainer Curvy Goddess Workout on video. Each video is approximately 10 minutes long. I have a natural pace on the videos but I want you to focus on your natural pace. Don’t try to keep up with me. I want your movements to be conscious and controlled, making sure that you’re in touch with what you’re feeling when you’re doing the movements.

I’d like you to start with 3 days/week with both Part 1 and 2. You may do the workouts everyday if you wish. Don’t be preoccupied with having to take a day break to rest body parts etc. etc. They are 10 min. long — very short and sweet. The focus for the Crystal Series is to get the body used to just moving again — how it’s designed to do.

Equipment Needed: Plus Size Workout Equipment Curvy Goddess Workout Crystal Series #1: Intro, Part I and II [Video]

Fat Burning Video – Part 1:

  • A pair of dumbbells (1-3 lbs.)
  • Chair or Workout Bench

I have to commend you for the way you're starting out with very basic movements. It's important that people don't start doing too much right away with a new workout — this way they make slow but steady progress and are much more likely to stick to it. Well done!

Thanks Chaz. There are many elements that one must take in consideration when designing an exercise routine. Progression is one of those elements. I actually explain this in my "11 Greatest Mistakes that Most Curvy Goddesses Make When Starting an Exercise Program" mini-seminar that is available when you sign-up to become a Curvy Goddess VIP…It's all free and available for you.

Job well done my friend! I am so glad you stepped up to stand up for the Curvy Goddess that wants to get into shape without killing herself! Thanx for making it fun and challenging!!

That's what getting in shape is all about. I've had it with these "professionals" ruining the experience for these Curvy Goddesses. They walk away, or I should say, run away with a skewed view of what fitness and exercise is all about — totally alienated.

Diane, I love these, what a great way to begin and not scare people away. The video quality is great, you see everything, hear it all very clearly and there are no distractions. Just you and me in the privacy of my own room. I think these are a hit, enjoy everyone. Just a recomendation for those women that do not have a pillates ring and might not invest in one, as an alternative they could use a blow up ball like a Slo-mo ball. Just as effective.

Thank you so much my friend. I'm glad you're giving me positive feedback coming from a professional fitness background yourself. It's all about progression and reaching higher levels gradually.

Hi Diane, I don't have a Pilates ring. Would you recommend something else that I might put between my legs? Thanks!

Goddess! you rock. I like to exercise and will jump on the exercise bike and walk but for the days I just don’t have motivation, I started doing the beginner exercises and pretty soon I’m doing all of them and adding some. Thanks for reminding me that all you have to do to get started is move. By the way, these exercises have really worked my body, especially my legs. Yesterday, I was thinking, what the heck and realized I had completed these two days in a row. I took a break yesterday but am ready to do these again today. Thanks oh goddess, my goddess. :)

I think you totally rock Lori! Keep it up then you’ll be itching to do more and more with your body. Take a step at a time and be good to yourself. xoxo.
