The Plus Womens Challenge – Weight Discrimination

by Diane on August 27, 2010

Here is an all too common plus womens challenge; weight discrimination, but this is outright BLATANT! A women is charged a $5 fee after a mani-pedi at her local nail salon in DeKalb County, Georgia for being overweight.

The manager claims that the pedicure salon chairs have a 200 lb. weight capacity and it is very expensive to repair the chairs so she must charge the overweight patrons.

Weight Discrimination is Unjust

Does this make any sense? The video contains great information from attorneys on this matter. I predict as America gets bigger, the issue of weight discrimination will do the same.

The plus womens challenge of weight discrimination exists and will always exist I believe. We just need to strengthen our hearts and love and honor ourselves alot more to fight the battle.
